All-terrain performances with the GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X
If you are familiar with the GMC Sierra vehicles, you have probably noticed the emergence of two new names for 2022: AT4X and Denali Ultimate.
The first one was designed for off-road enthusiasts, integrating plenty of characteristics specially made for off-road driving, for example:
- Springs made for maximal suspension travel
- Three DSSV valve dampers
- A robust chassis for off-road
- Electronically locking front and rear differentials
- An off-road driving mode
For the new Denali Ultimate version, it mainly upgrades the luxury aspect of the Denali. On the exterior, it distinguishes itself by its chromed emblems, its 22-inch wheels and its headlights performing a “welcome dance”.
A modernized cockpit for 2022
When we think of technology, our minds often imagine screens. Current trends are favouring bigger and bigger touch screens, so GMC surpasses itself in 2022, offering a 13.4-inch infotainment screen. It includes a full set of intuitive functionalities, such as:
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Amazon’s Alexa
- Google Maps
- Google Play
The instrumentalization is also reviewed, now digitalized in a 12.3-inch screen. With the exception of screens, William Clavey, a journalist for RPM, highlights the new cockpit’s strong points:
“The dashboard’s design and the quality of the materials used have been considerably upgraded. We now deal with a clearly more sophisticated and attractive command post.”
Furthermore, advanced security features are waiting for you on the top-of-the-line models, notably front seats with 16 electronic settings including a massage function! Starting from the GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation, you can also take advantage of heated leather garnished front seats.
A new Super Cruise driving system
Drive-assist technologies are now part of a great majority of new vehicles on the market. However, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 pushes it even further this year by integrating a brand new semi-autonomous driving technology, the Super Cruise.
Offered on the Denali and included on the Denali Ultimate, this new functionality allows you to let go of your steering wheel on more than 320,000 km of highway, a number that is constantly increasing with updates. Driving and lane changes are made automatically. Are you pulling a trailer? No problem: the Super Cruise system works just as well.
